My introduction to this topic came a long time and included a post by Doug Yeo. As I recall - I hope I got it right - he said that the symphonies on the Continent usually have a higher 'A' than those in the US who use 440. The Boston Symphony decided to split the different and make their 'A's half way in between. I don't remember the number. \

ive heard that the conn 4h also came with two tuning slides. i have one but only have one tuning slide. it tunes to 440
