Seems like I have heard of the Cheesecake Factory. Isn't that supposed to be a pretty good place to eat (according to the hype)? Sorry your breakfast was so lousy!

They are corporate "fine dining" at it's mediocre best.

heh yes I really do need to get out of this darn small town, I've never been to either of those places, and I'm never heard of the Cheesecake Factory.

Be careful of what your envious of.
I'd much rather at a small mom and pop local place than a chain anyday.

Home-made pizzas with a well-earned frosty brew.
The good news is I had enough dough and filling to make up two calzones for tonight too!! Pant

Firas,
If a person should eat 4 eggs a week, then you just ate up your weekly allowance, plus!  Smoothies (with whatever health food craze of the week) would be good.  Meat should be a condiment, not the whole meal.
Egg whites would be better than whole eggs.
Any fresh food?

Tonight we ate vegetable beef soup with potatoes and okra.  Darn russet potatoes were still al dente.

Yesterday, I had a Thai lunch with a visitor, so didn't think I should eat much in the evening. However, I felt I should eat something healthy, as I'm currently trying to cut down on the alcohol and need all the help I can get. So, I opened a small tin of sild (a sardine-like fish) in olive oil and ate them straight from the tin. Ah, the luxury of living alone!

Play the trombone because it is what you want to do, for the love of it.  Above all, guard against what others might think of your playing and do NOT be affected by their opinions, this is very important.

Bacon, mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, on romaine lettuce wraps.

Like a BLT minus the tomato and the bread...

Brown bread and butter with my own home-made crab-apple jelly, accompanied by a mug of white coffee. The mini-meal was made poignant by the fact that some Philistine at work decided the tree was inconvenient and chopped it down. No more blossom in the spring, no more crab-apple jelly. :(

I mean, it's exactly my speed, but given the virtual lack of dairy in Chinese cuisine, and adding cheese to seafood in most cuisines being a bit uncommon, this dish is certainly an American casserole first and foremost -- and not Chinese at all!

Tell you what though - when done right? It is serious comfort food!

Ahhh, yes. I would certainly agree that it is not typical Chinese food!
