I met up with 'the Sheriff' (Scott) when we were in Chicago, and he took me to a cool Mexican place.

Great city. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Nuevo Leon, I bet?

Homemade, from scratch, no boxed pudding junk, chocolate pie.  My wife rocks in many ways, and her dessert making is near the top of the list.

I peel the asparagus sometimes, too, but end up losing so much. Heck, snapping the ends even seems wasteful, at times.

I peel the larger asparagus not only for asthetic reasons, but it greatly decreases the need to snap off so much of that great, crunchy end part. More yield from the tastiest part of the plant. Just take off one layer of peel, and it's very tender underneath.

Tom, Ronnie, are you going to tell me some good places to eat when I visit Chicago in April?

Absolutely. Keep me informed when you plan to be here.

Lots of regional Mexican, very good Thai and Vietnamese, red tablecloth Italian, Polish, and don't forget Chicago steakhouses and deep dish pizza.

A Massive Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich, half a jar of applesauce and dunkaroos! Not very gourmet but still 100% delicious! It's like middle school lunch all over again!
