B0B, what are your qualifications to make this diagnosis?  Are you a medical professional?  Please refrain from offering medical or psychological opinions on this forum.

Hey BH, bvb analyzes everyone who posts on the forum.  Tell them what and how they're thinking.  He's a librarian not a pychologist.

A diagnosis would be identifying the problem. For example, WHY he can't accept certain realities.

I simply identified the symptoms and suggested that it might be wise to consult a qualified professional.

It's the difference between recognizing a broken bone, and attempting to set it.

I think it's time to stop psychoanalising individual members.

If we've finished discussing Religion, we can close this benighted topic once and for all.

If not, please can we get back to it.

There hasn't been any real religious discussion in quite some time. Sounds good to me.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to create a different topic that's set up from the start as a general catch-all for religious issues.

Might be a good idear to put it in PP too--maybe change "Purely Politics" to a more general descriptive name that covers politics and religion and any other issues that scare a lot of people and that certain types should probably just stay clear of.

Why would you need another general catchall? Politics is thread by thread with a specific topic and it works well that way. This thread has gone to hell (*buh dum tss*) for lack of a specific topic.

Or do you really feel so compelled to post comics as if people couldn't just follow the strip?

Mad Mad Mad

OK, that's it. Please start new topics to discuss specific religious issues.

I would prefer these to happen here in CC and for us to leave PP as it is.

Right.

The MIGHTY HAND OF GOD (me) WILL NOW SMITE THIS TOPIC.
