Jazz Transcriptions

I have been collecting websites that deal with jazz transcriptions for some time. I posted this list elsewhere and Christine has requested I put it in this room.
I have to tell you that unforunately there are very few featuring trombone solos. There are many sax and guitar transcriptions available free but most trombone players want to sell their transcriptions. I guess we trombonists have to be more entrepreneurial to exist.

The sites are a mixture of transcriptions, links to transcriptions, how to transcribe, and swap forums for transcriptions. Most of the transcriptions are free but there may be a couple that I included because they were too useful to ignore. Enjoy!

I don't know, but you can either transcribe yourself, or buy the "J.J. Johnson Collection," published by Hal Leonard.

Hi all, I'm putting a new post into all the featured Cool Webbies in case the "feature" feature isn't carried over in the move.

Great sites!
Thanks for putting them on.
I love to transcribe solos, I have done it quite a few times.
I would be glad to post them on the internet, so why don't we open in this site a forum for transcribed solos? (a forum, that features trombone solos, above all others that is...)
What do you say?
(I know that it's a lot of work
and maybe the way the forum is built does not support all these images and someone would have to moderate this forum
and as someone who does not participate in actually mainaining the forum I have a lot of nurve suggesting this
and that it's "not that easy" to maintain a forum....
but I think that this would be the best place to post my transcriptions of trombone solos .)

I have seen some of British trombonist Rob Egerton's transcriptions elsewhere on TTF but thought it might be worth mentioning again in this topic. These are done on Rob's YouTube Channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/bobilleg74?feature=watch
I particularly like this one because Roy Williams is my biggest inspiration from way back when we were both much younger
