hey guys, I have been trying to get my hands on a legit copy of the grondahl concerto for several months.  Every music store I go to looks at me like im crazy, and says "oh no we wouldn't have that" and so on and such forth, which is understandable... its not performed as commonly as other solos.  but here is what really gets me a little up set.  Confused  after looking around in stores, i decided to try and order it online.  I purchased a copy from Sheet music plus, and they have been giving me the runaround for 2 months. meanwhile i'm pretty sure they have my $55 that i payed for the solo part and the piano part.  has anybody had a similar experience with sheet music plus or the grondahl? thanks for the help.

Getting the music is the easiest part of the performance... How can it possibly be this hard???

I would try Hickey's- www.hickeys.com
They seem to have the Grondahl (if you search for it, i can't post a link straight to it) in a couple versions, for 55 bucks like the one you found already.

Yep.  Hickey's Music is the place to go.  I've heard nothing but horror stories about Sheet Music Plus.

Agreed.

Besides, the folks at Hickey's are a pleasure to talk to on the phone.

Might I recommned Joe Alessi's recording to listen too as well, while your preparing for your performance.  A great recording!

back in the 80's, when the piece cost only $33, I had similar difficulties getting it.  Don't take it personally.  :)
