No, No, NO - both HAL 9000 and I are "products" of the University of Illinois at Urbana IL. (at least in the book, HAL is from the University)

I got away with "Mr. Roboto" without criticism

Consider it criticized.  It did not contain the letters ARB, the first three letters of the previous word.  Water under the bridge at this point, though.

HYMn (interestingly, it begins with the same three letters as the previous word, so the follow-on word must use the same triplet again)
