Would anyone have suggestions for places to check out a decent selection of tenor jazz horns in the Houston area? I'm looking at replacing my Yamaha 682B with a jazz horn (King, Conn...the typical ones mentioned) and would like a chance to try some out. ALl help is appreciated! Thanks!

You might try Brook Mays on the SouthWest Freeway. You can google them to get directions and phone numbers.

Brook Mays is in Dallas. As far as Houston goes there is Music and Arts and H and H music. Music and Arts can order any horn you want and H and H stocks Shires trombones at its Katy location. If you tell me your exact area I can help you find the best play to help. (But yes BrookMays and H and H are the same company.)

I will actually be driving down from College Station, but  areas in North or Central Houston would be most preferable. Thanks!

H and H and Brook Mays are the same company but if you go to the location it says H and H in Houston and Brook Mays in Dallas. Well technically both are owned by one person and when he bought out H and H he decided to keep the name for his Houston stores.

Don't want to beat a dead horse, but many years ago Brook Mays was also in Houston, along with H and H, and Parker Music. Just to add to the confusion. :)

Yeah it is all very confusing. Now there is Music and Arts and H and H... and that is pretty much it.
