So I am new to the world of Hagmann valves. Mick Rath taught me how to oil them. I was wondering if there is anything special I need to do with them? How often do I need to oil them? My Thayers I had to oil every other day... What type of oil do you recommend? I have easy access to the Hetman oils.
Thanks for the advice,
Zac

I have bought my Hagmann valves at Mr. Hagmanns shop in Geneva.

He told me there was nothing special to do. Just put oil in the valve and thats it. I do it once a week, but if I forget it, the valve will be fine also for two weeks.

Mr. Hagmann recommends Tromba T2, works like a charm.

While waiting on my new Hagmann Rath to come in... my research shows that Tromba T2 is what is recommended.

Here's a link to a page with maintenance information for these valves: http://www.trombone.ch/EN/maintenance.html

I have been playing a r9 with hagmanns for 7 years, for mine, the Hetman light rotor works better than the tromba t2.  YMMV....

And the hetman light rotor is what I have been using. So far so good. Thanks for the link above too!

Zoja Oil is by far the best (in my experience) oil for my Hagmann, it moves incredibly fast and smooth

I tried the hetman 11 and didn't like the results, cleaned the valve several times and re-applied it and my valve still didn't work the way it does when I use ZAJA OIL
