Not fair!  I'm a New Yorker living in Boston.

Actually, Red Sox -- I hated the Yankees when I lived in New York (Go Brooklyn Dodgers!)

Neither, please.

Yankees are evil.

Red Sox haven't been interesting since they broke the curse.

Go Dodgers!!!!

I hate both. I was at opening day in the Trop and saw the grand return of Carlos Pena! I've been a Rays fan since 2003ish so I'm not one of the many on that bandwagon. Go Rays!

Someone has some sense of taste back there.

But as to the baseball teams, most people out here don't give a damn about either one.  And that's being polite.

How far could you hit a baseball with a trombone?

I am happy to see that so far, people are voting other.

The day when either the Yanks or Sox were expected to be there at the end is over as far as I am concerned.

The Yankees mystique is over. No one is intimidated by them anymore.

The Red Sox? New manager, etc. I wouldn't bet money on them. (at least my own money!)

Go Rangers; you have unfinished business!

I'm a Met fan so I like the Red Sox when they play the Yankees and  that's about the only time. And I love NYC!

I've had a soft spot in my heart for the Mets ever since they took the series in '86. I was living in NYC at the time and the excitement was everywhere (unless you were a Yankee fan that is!)

New York was a very schizophrenic town.  Back when I was a kid (late Pre-Cambrian Era) we had 2 National League teams (Giants and Dodgers) and one American League team (Yankees).  Many of us were National League or American League fans: you loved the Giants or Dodgers and hated the Yankees or vice versa.  As a confirmed Brooklynite, I was a Dodger fan, and true to form hated the Yankees.

When the Mets were created in the wake of the Dodger and Giant exodus, I took to them.  I also went for the Jets when they were created with the new AFL (now the AFC of the NFL).
