RTP News says that Sipher won the Colorado Symphony audition. Perhaps this means LA gave the job to Miller? http://trombone.myartsonline.com/news.htm#AUD

Actually, Jim Miller has not been made Principal in LA, and was not being considered for the job at the same time John Sipher was doing his trial this past fall.  That said, he remains acting principal while the 1st chair remains vacant, and continues to be doing solid music-making in the process.

Lisa Albrecht played the Asian tour with them a few months ago.

These may be trials or it may just be a substitute situation. Something will be announced when we are meant to know. Until then it's all idle chatter.
