So many places!

- Nuba (Lebanese, but with an amazing cauliflower appetizer...)
- Burgoo (Amazing comfort-type food, great atmosphere)
- Nook (Italian place, across the street from a recently opened Live Music venue, Blue Martini)
- Stepho's Taverna (Greek in downtown Vancouver)
- Biercraft (Great quality pub fare, killer beer selection)
- Jethro's (Breakfast place, was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives)
- Peaceful (Northern Chinese, also on D, D, & D)

You can't really go wrong!

Nou Dadoun sends out a list of events, mostly jazz, for the following week, every Friday am. To subscribe, email him at:

A favourite restaurant is Handi's up on Dunbar. Very good Indian food. We also like the Siena on 12th. For French bistro , Le Faux Bourgeois on Kingsway (my personal fave). Pat's Pub is an interesting spot that often has jazz. Check in advance though. (Sort of on the edge of the infamous Downtown East Side.)

For salmon fishing, there are charters that leave from Coal Harbour (ie downtown). Google.
