The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is an all-encompassing summer music festival that includes orchestral playing, chamber music, and private lessons. The resident orchestra plays for festival opera productions as well as performing their own concerts. Each week, trombonists will receive private lessons, chamber music coaching, orchestral sectionals, and take part in master classes with HPAF trombone faculty member, Mark Kellogg (Faculty, Eastman School of Music). Audition requirements and additional information can be found at www.hawaiiperformingartsfestival.org/instrumental-program/ (scholarships are available). For trombone specific questions, please feel free to contact Mark Kellogg at mkellogg@esm.rochester.edu .
