Curious if anyone has paired an Edwards T DB AN (dual bore .47/,62 nickel) slide with a Bach 42 bell, and if so, what are your thoughts??

Well, not that combo but I've used an Edwards bass single bore slide on my Bach 50 bell section for over 10 years.  The time should speak for itself.

Thanks Jim.. Yes, 10 years speaks volumes. I am particularly interested in trying the dual bore with my Friedman bell. I have seen several positive comments on that pairing using the Shires TBN 47-62 slide and was just wondering if anyone had tried it with an Edwards dual bore slide. There is a substantial price difference in the two slides as well.. I have played the Friedman with a Bach 50 LT WT slide and didn't like it as much as my 42 LT WT slide...

I have two Edwards bells and a Bach50.  I have a 547/562 Edwards slide in nickle and a 547/562 Bach slide. And of course the Bach 50 single bore slide. I have played with about every combination. And I can say every combination has good results.  The duobore 547/562 slide on the bass sounded fine but was a useless. All three slides work well and with the difference one would expect on the two tenor bells.

I play a duo bore slide on everything but my bass.

Just to follow up on this. I bought a Edwards, dual bore (.547/.562) TDBAN Nickel slide and have been using it with a Friedman bell for a few weeks. I couldn't be happier with the combo. Good core to the sound and very responsive...
